Bow Hunting Rules & Regulations 

Members and their immediate family are allowed to bow hunt for deer during WV Deer Season in accordance with current WVDNR hunting regulations.

a. Bear, turkey, or predator bow hunting is allowed during specified season by members and immediate family members in accordance with current WVDNR hunting regulations.

b. Immediate family will include the following: spouse, child, grandparent, or grandchild of a member. The member must be on site during hunting and is responsible for his/her family member. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by the parent of member. All hunters must be registered with FTLA in order to hunt on FTLA property.

c. Members must be in good standing in order to hunt or fish.

d. All deer harvested shall be tagged and reported in accordance with WV State Law.

e. Only ladder stands, hang-on stands, self-climbing stands, and ground blinds are permitted. Wearing a harness is strongly recommended. All stands must be tagged with an approved FTL Tag that indicates the members lot number.

f. Hunting will not be allowed within 500’ of the perimeter road. September, 2024

g. All hunters must sign an Acceptance of Risk form and return it to the office or F&C Committee to be maintained on file.

h. All deer killed must be reported to F&C Chairman. Use the form available below.

i. Anyone caught hunting that is not registered:

1. First Offense - Verbal warning.

2. Second offense - Lose hunting privileges for remainder of the year.

j. Stands or blinds not properly marked will be removed by FTL Association. There will be a $50 fine to retrieve their property.
