Did you know about Building & Grounds Governance?
The Board of Directors has a committee dedicated to reviewing member construction projects, ensuring member lots are maintained in good condition, maintaining lake facilities and overseeing improvements to our shared amenities. Our Bylaws state “That the grantee, his heirs and assigns, shall construct no building, buildings, roads, gas lines, water lines, light and powerlines, sewer lines, sewage lines, sewage disposal, facilities, or other structures of any kind or character upon his lots, without first submitting a plan thereof to the Committee of the Building and Grounds and having the same approved in writing by the board of directors, and a building permit issued therefore”.
Although this statement is very broad, the committee has worked hard to make the process as smooth and efficient as possible for members. In fact, over the last year, the average time from application submittal to approval was less than one week. To help with this process, members are encouraged to request an onsite meeting with committee members prior to subm
Association rules also require periodic member lot inspections. These inspections are conducted annually from the roadside as well as the lake side. They are meant to ensure that members keep their properties in a “neat, sanitary condition” as required by our rules. Notices are sent to members where deficiencies are noted. Failure to comply with deficiencies can result in fines and other disciplinary action.
The B&G Committee activities are conducted as a service to all members with the objective of protecting the value of our properties. Committee members are posted online. If you ever have a question, concern, or idea, please reach out to any of the current committee members. A listing of the committees, chairs, and committee members can be found HERE.
